History

1954 May Established Onishi Seisakusho in Yaguchi-machi, Ota-ku, Tokyo (Founder: Yukio Onishi).
1956 November Relocated to newly-built plant in Shimomaruko, Ota-ku, Tokyo. Reformed the organization and changed name to Onishi Seiki Kogyo (Capital: \500,000).
1957 June Developed technology to produce bellows-type thermostats.
1961 February Built and relocated to comprehensive plant in Kiyose-shi, Tokyo in line with rapid growth in the automobile industry.
1967 March Developed pressure-resistant wax-type thermostats to replace bellows-type thermostats to improve cooling performance in engines.
1968 May Constructed new main plant.
1972 January
April
Remodeled main corporate building.
Changed company name to Nippon Thermostat Co., Ltd.
1973 June Constructed Kiyose Plant in Kiyose, Tokyo.
1977 November Constructed Yorii Plant in Yorii-machi, Osato-gun, Saitama.
1978 March Separated Yorii Plant and established it as NTC Industry Co., Ltd. Extended buisiness into housing and electical appliances fields.
1981 December Constructed new main plant and established technology research institute.
1986 November Constructed north plant beside main plant.
1989 May Constructed Shioya Plant in Shioya-machi, Shioya-gun, Tochigi.
1994 August Inaugurated a joint venture, Nippon Thermostat (India) Limited, in India.
1999 August Obtained ISO 9001 certification.
2002 July Inaugurated an overseas affiliate, Nippon Thermostat of America Corporation, in West Virginia, U.S.
2003 May Obtained ISO-14001 certification.
2004 June Merged the back-office section of NTC Industry Co., Ltd.
2005 June Constructed Nippon Thermostat of America Corporaton, North America Plant.
2008 February Inaugurated Shiojiri Plant (resin molding plant) in Shiojiri, Nagano.
2009 May Made NTC Industry Co., Ltd. a wholly-owned subsidiary.
2009 October Inaugurated Shioya Second Plant in Shioya-machi, Shioya-gun, Tochigi.
2013 August Inaugurated an overseas affiliate, Nippon Thermostat Vietnam Co., Ltd., in Vietnam.
2018 April Merged NTC Industry Co., Ltd.
2019 February Constructed New Head Office building in Kiyose-shi, Tokyo.
2019 May Constructed Yorii Second Plant in Yorii-mach, Osato-gun, Saitama
2024 May Constructed Technical Center in Kiyose-shi, Tokyo.
